Day 148 - lunch out

Bee coz I....had lunch out with three of my favorite girls today I had already decided to find something on the menu that was a healthier but yum option.

I believe now that I have blown my first goal out of the water that I have to occasionally challenge myself to have a treat and deal with it.

So this was it, prawn and beef singa noodles with loads of veggies. It was delish and not to heavy in my stomach. How did I deal with it? Went for a 4k run. I also did Zumba before I went and had a diet shake for dinner so I consider that dealt with.

Day 147 - fajita's

Be coz I....have finally grown some lettuce, something I have tried before many times and failed, I made fajita's for dinner, I literally picked the lettuce as I was plating up and boy could you taste the difference.
The rest of the day was spent doing the usual, Zumba, house work, garden etc but then in the arvo I caught up with a friend and went swimming, had a spa and later caught up with some other friends, over all I give the day a 10 out of 10 :) Bee

Lunch: horrid! Lean cuisine spinach cannelloni ( I hate pre packaged food, except beans and also diet shakes)
Dinner:very nice fajita's with ww. Light sour cream and only the tiniest bit if cheese, but lots of lettuce, spinach, tomato and capsicum, followed by a ww. Diet dessert

Day 146 - I love my job!

Bee coz I.... Had a statewide meeting on today, I drove 2 hrs 15 mins to work today. Had a great meeting which included lunch, the venue was a winery by a river (a very swollen river) and then I went for a walk.

After another afternoon session it was time to head home, well to the pool to run fun relays for the kids. I made it in time and we had a fantastic night.

So after 4 1/2 hrs of driving, 6 1/2 hours of meetings, 2 1/2 hrs of walking up and down a 50 m pool (good for the step challenge) it was home to bed!

Day 145 - missing this little monkey

Bee coz I live in melb. and my family live in Tasmania I don't see the lots but we have a great time when we do. On the Sunday before last I got to skype Alex my little nephew, he is so smart for his age and way too cute, I can't wait to see him in march. It's only two weeks till I see them all again. Can't wait.

Zumba was ace as usual but I was ready for an early night!

Day 144 - who put that brick wall there?

Be coz I....was at training all day I didn't eat as much as I usually do on a Wednesday.

So a few minutes into boxing I was getting very light headed and had to stop a couple of times because I thought I was going to hit the deck! It was like I had hit a brick wall.

I did most of the training and enjoyed it but felt like I had taken dizzy drugs. My mate Amanda was good, she can keep up with the men in training she packs a punch and was looking after me by telling me to breath. I must have been a deep water diver in a previous life because I can hold my breath for ages without knowing I am doing it.

Went and did my 4km walk with Jane after boxing and felt much better for it.

Got my blood sugar levels checked at chemist on way home and it was very low so back to eating lollies when I have a dizzy spell. I also had a bit of fluid on my ears and a blocked nose so I looks like it was a combo of it all.

Was feeling much better one it was bed time.

Bee coz I....keep having to get up to stop the dog barking at possums 16 days in a row now except one when he didn't bark between 11pm and 6.30 am I am ready to kill! Well not really but I am getting tired of it. I have tried long walks, yelling, calming, over feeding (well that makes me tired) and leaving the Tv on but it's not working. Might have to move the possums on!

In other less boring news (matter of opinion) did some interval training after work today and then did deep water aerobics! Boxing tomorrow can't wait - funny how you can look forward to something that nearly kills you and causes so much pain! Bring it on I say!

Day 142 - a hit of juice

Bee coz I....felt like it I sipped a juice through out the day today at work it's mostly beetroot juice so it's not to sweet. It really upped my energy levels throughout the day, which is good as Zumba was hard tonight, we have a new song and it's quite physical - just what I like.

It's chilly in melb so I hunted out my pj's but they were way to big so I ended up digging out my old thermals and I went to bed looking a treat!

Day 141 - a well timed run

Bee coz I....got up early for a run today, I got my run in before the rain hit. Struggled a bit in pump as I think my muscles are still getting over boxing but I got through it.

Visited Connie, did some housework and took Leo for a walk and that's about it!

Day 140 - what's in the basket for this weekend?

Bee coz I....did Zumba as usual this morning I stopped by Safeway on the way home and got the shopping in for the weekend.

Then I bumped into some friends and I ended up picking up Jorja and spent the afternoon at the pool. Fun was had by all!

Rod and Tracy brought pizza around for dinner and I had one and a bit small slices which equaled one slice and I picked half the topping off! It was delish but very filling. Hard to believe now that I used to be able to eat 4 normal slices.

Having an evening in watching all the stuff on TiVo that I have recorded and not watched :)

Day 139 - rhubarb rhubarb

Bee coz I....moved my poor effort rhubarb into my grans nice big pot that my mum didn't take to Tassie as it was a bit big, my rhubarb has come to life! It's the third home that this rhubarb has lived in, ask my friend Gee as he is the one that has insisted on bringing a bit with me every move. Well Gee I'm glad you did because it's found a good spot now :) although we will be moving again after winter then that's it I'm not moving again!

Great day today at work followed by team manager duty at the pool, fun night I love catching up with the kids!

Last night I downloaded a yucky virus which stopped me going on the net, i only had skype and msn, but my very clever brother fixed it from Tassie he sent me a file which let him look at me computer and control it! How amazing is that! He worked some magic then we crossed our fingers and held our breath as he restored the computers memory to a few days ago! It worked! Thanks bro x x

Day 138 - dreaming of noodles

Bee coz I....got brave and went to boxing yesterday despite the face the poor Amanda was too sick to go and I loved it!

It was by far the most cardio intense workout I have ever done, it was the best but man was I spent by the end of it! Not to mention drenched and you know it's going to hurt when you have to sit in the car for 5 mins before you can lift your arms to the steering wheel!

Came home showered then rubbed my magic Chinese liniment all over then slept like a log but had a dream I was eating noodles!

Work was great as usual then home to do Zumba, it was very hard tonight because my body was still recovering from last night but I loved it.

Well I am going to bed now so tootle pip - bee

Day 137 - I may not be able to move my arms later!

Bee coz I....am going to boxing tonight for the first time I am doing my update now, by the time I do 1 hour boxing then my 4k walk with Jane I will be beyond typing.

I am actually very nervous about going but I know I will like it - well I hope I will lol have not felt this nervous since I had to do my first 20 none stop jog.

I had a good lunch and will eat a banana mid afternoon as I won't be home until 8.15 tonight which is to late for me to eat so i might just have a diet shake tonight.

Day136 - 9.5 kg to go

Bee coz I....got a call to take wonder woman to childcare this morning I got to hang out with miss J for a few mins, she was dead sad about leaving her mum who had a headache so bad she couldn't drive. I didn't want to drop her off crying so we stopped in at the shops and got some ham and fed a bit to the maggies that are always out the front! It worked a treat on happy little super hero went of to childcare ;)

Day went well, had my ego busted by a co worker who I have not seen for months he was visibly shocked when he saw me - in a good way!

Day 135 - I've lost two days lol

Bee coz I....have a app to record my goal and weight loss I realize I have lost two days, some where I have skipped 2 days - woops they must have been boring! I might try and work it out one day. - UPDATE they were not lost i had just numbered them wrong ;0)

In other news I had the arvo off work as my bro snuck into melb yesterday with out telling any one and surprised us lucky I had done all the housework!

As he has lots of mates in melb he kept it quiet as he was only here for one night and he would have been rushed off his feet. Bonus for us as we got to hog him. We had a good arvo and had dinner out I has a small noodle box and could not quite finish it. It was delish I could taste all the calories. I missed zumba but did 4.2km jog when I got home.

What a great 24 hrs I have had - Bee

Day 134 - fun in the park

Bee coz I....finished the housework early, went to do pump ( upped my weights) and did some shopping, I decided that the afternoon would be an exercise free zone.
Caught up with Connie, she is still in pain but has been having treatment and can now do light exercise, at least she is feeling better now.
Spent a nice arvo in the duckie park with rod, Tracy and Jorja. They have opened the new kids playground and it looks great. Jorja tested out all the equipment, it passed muster.
Spent a relaxing evening with Mucker, I even had two glasses of wine. Finished watching underbelly series one, it took us ages to finish watching it.

Day 133 - a great run

Bee coz i...was starving after Zumba and a run i made this joggers lunch, its not as big as it looks, its a small wholemeal pita with a one egg omelete with halloumi cheese, spinich,tomato, mushroom and ham, chopped into 4!

It was so nice.

I did my fastest run today, jogged faster and further but my cool down walk was slower as i needed more to recover. I was nice running in cooler air.

Had a busy day catching up on housework and a nice night just chilaxing

diner: steamed rice, low fat chicken sausage and veggies.

Day 132 - 4 weeks until I'm back in Tassie

Bee coz it's only 3 weeks until I go back to Tassie for a few days I am trying to squeeze in a jog every second day as I am going to jog with my bro and he is much faster, mother nature is playing havoc with my plans!

Tonight we had a laugh because my bro, dad and I kicked in money and got mum a laptop for her birthday, Ian skyped me on the laptop and and pretended he needed to mum to try out the head phones he was using (mum is deaf) so she put them on and chatted to me while the cranked up the volume for her, then I sang happy birthday and she's said it's not until tomorrow, then ian said it's your birthday present and she thought he was talking about the head phones! She was very happy and shocked when she realized the laptop was hers lol.

Day 129 - a new yummy love in my life

Bee coz I....love grain bars it does not take much to impress me, this bar is yum and is a bit cheaper than the ones I had been buying so that's a bonus

Had a good day today, it was a diploma day we have not been together since November and everyone commented on how good I looked! I was beginning to get a big head from it!

I kind of forget that I have not seen people and this all seems normal to me so it throws me a bit when someone mentions it.

Had time to mow after work so that was good as it's due to rain all weekend.

Squeezed a bit of interval jogging in after mowing then water aerobics and spa time then home to bed!

Day 128 - 10000 steps

Bee coz I....have joined a team at work who are taking part in a 10,000 step challenge, I got my pedometer today just after lunch! The idea is you have to take 10,000 steps everyday to be healthy. Well between 2pm and 9pm I got my steps in!

Zumba was great tonight, I got to see Jorja as they are back from their trip and work was great so it was a good day all round x x Bee x x

Day 127 - 10kg's to go!

Bee Coz I....lost 1kg this week i have made it to my first goal of 20kg, but as there is no rest for the wicked its on to the next one, another 10kg!

What did i do to celebrate? went for a jog!  


I had a slower start to the jog than usual as there was junk on the track from all the flooding, i had to run across the road in stead of going under it as the pass was full of mud! it was a nice jog as it was much cooler than the last few weeks.

I took a few pics on the run to. I also tried out my new running top, it has a pocket for my ipod, and worked very well - not bad for $15 from Kmart.

Then it was back home to get breakfast and chilax for an hour before i headed off to pump and Balance.

This arvo i am making soup for tomorrow and i might watch a dvd.

Day 126 - flash floods a plenty

Bee coz I....went to Zumba and the gym today I decided to have a chilled afternoon, there was still loads of rain and flash flooding and road closures around here so it was best that I stayed in anyway! They are saying the rain will ease tomorrow, I hope so for everyone to have a chance to clean it all up, and so I can get a run in!

Rod Tracy and Jorja are all away racing this weekend, fingers crossed Rod does well and his car goes ok!

Tomorrow I think I will make some pumpkin soup, if there is any pumpkins in the shops as most of our pumpkins come from Qld.
I also got some steak for tomorrow night dinner so that will be my red meat for the week!

Having a treat tonight 2 squares of rum and raisin chocolate!

Day 125 - batten down the hatches!

Bee coz I....had to stop at the traffic light on the way home from the swim club last night, I snapped this shot of muddy water running across the intersection! It got worse within 5 mins and we have had flash flooding all over Boronia, I spent the night checking the sunroom roof as it's going to cave in with the rain one day! It's the weakest point of the house!

I have a new swimming pool in my back garden, pity it will be gone a few hours after it stops raining.

At least all the water has brought cooler temps, the air is still warm but the water is cool.

Day 124 - everyone needs a good tree

Bee coz I....choose to in run in this silly heat I always make sure I have a good shady tree to stretch under, then I sit and relax for a few mins before getting back out in the real world! Meet old faithful he is my favorite tree.

Day123 - still hot hot hot!

Bee coz I....had a meeting tonight I couldn't walk with Jane. I had had a very quiet day in work so I felt like I had not done a thing all day. Ah well I'll be doing a run and Zumba tomorrow so that will make up for it.

Thoughts are with Tracy's family in Tully as they are set the brunt of the cyclone tonight so fingers crossed they will be safe.
