Walking in the rain

Bee coz I...chose to go walking in the very heavy rain (like boot squelching undie wetting rain) at the lake, I happened upon this little jetty.

I sat on the end of the jetty for a while listening to music, I was already drenched but it wasn't cold so it was very nice. Then headed back to the track where 30+ kangaroos had gathered to see what was going on! I calmly walked past them back to the track it was amazing, I will never forget it.

Stayed up way to late watching DVD's so didn't go to the gym this morning as I'm going walking with a friend later.

The perfect lunch!

Bee coz I....am back eating only things that have good nutritional value and foods to help speed up my metabolism which was slowed when I was sick I have been eating new combo's today's sandwiches (and the day before) were cucumber and philli it's my new fav! They would be so much nicer on white bread but as my Auntie Carol once said "the whiter the bread, the sooner your dead" - we were about 8 and my brother insisted on brown bread for months afterwards.

I tried a new class at the gym tonight called body jam, it's dance based and you really have to use your brain to remember all the moves - hmmm not sure it's my thing but I did enjoy it a bit.

Tomorrow is another crazy day in work this last two weeks have flown, but I love being busy as it makes my holidays get closer faster :) bee

Giant strawberries and sore calves

Bee coz I...went walking up misty big hills on Saturday, then walked the lake Sunday and did a run my calf muscles are killing me. Zumba was a challenge last night but helped move the pain a bit.

I have not been on the bike for days, I think I'm over it.

I got some organic blueberries and strawberries this week and boy were the strawbs huge. Almost as big as my yoghurt tub!

Nothing much else has been happening oh I bought a new black dress - not sure if I'll ever where it out but it was a bargain!

Mist rolling in

Bee coz I...went walking up the mountain range by my house I got to see a very cool thing today, I was walking up the hill (very steep) and when I looked up I saw the most/fog? rolling down the hill towards me like in horror movies then it just rolled around me and visibility dropped dramatically!

I Kept walking and made it to the top where I could just make out other people all resting in the fog or stretching! I turned back and headed down and walked back out of the fog down the bottom and jumped in the car! It was good timing because the heavens opened!

Then sat and ate some dried fruit and headed home.

Crazy week

Bee Coz I...have a crazy week in work this week and have three major events on this is going to be short.

Pulled out big numbers for my last weekend of the 10000 step challenge did 30000+ on sat and struggled to get to about 26000 on the Sunday but had to spend the arvo in recovery mode - I think I wore my legs out. Let's hope it's enough to get my team over the line.

Had a big even on last night that was 1 year in the making, went really well and despite a few hick ups before the even it all came together on the night. It was a personal high!

Rain rain go away

New coz I....have had a crazy few days I have forgotten to blog! Sorry.

The 10000 step challenge has meant I'm out exercising most mornings and every night, it's killing me - on the up side the scales have moved back to where they were (1kg loss) but more importantly I can feel my fitness is back and my muscles are back again!

The weather has been a bit wild hot one minute and tropical storms the next which makes it an extra challenge to squeeze in exercise.

I have become friends with the new cross trainer at the gym but my legs are suffering for my efforts. I'm still hating bike riding but am trying to do two rides a week and one on the weekend! I only do 5km lol

10000 steps and more

Bee coz I... Set myself the goal of 20000 steps a day it means that I have to exercise both ends of the day, Friday was always my day off but I don't like my numbers dropping so there are no days off for me!

The challenge only goes for four weeks so my body can have a rest after that!

Last night I did the big lake walk which is about 6.5km if you go the long way. I did a good time but would rather have company of an evening as its a little bit remote in parts.

I have eaten the same thing in work for lunch for the last three days (see pic) pear yoghurt is my new delight it's delish you should try it!

I'm looking forward to the weekend as its going to be dry and warm i am planning a walk up the hills.

Well better go its time for work and I need a quick shower after my bike ride (yes I still get a sore arse from riding)

Wrong way go back!

Bee coz I....have gone full steam ahead with my exercise for almost two weeks, I jumped on the scales to see what my bodies reaction would be. The result was a 1kg gain.

Luckily I know my body and I know by my fingers that I am storing some fluid which always happens when I do loads of exercise or when the weather warms up. My tight pants are no tighter or looser so i'm not bothered.

I have gone from doing nothing while I was sick to exercising twice a day. I am doing well on the 10000 step challenge but every muscle in my body knows I'm doing it :)
