Day 209 - foggy head

Bee coz I ....woke up at 4am with a foggy head and a smashing headache, I was glad to be going to work on the train so I didn't have concentrate.

I didn't even listen to music or play games on the phone.

When I got to where I was going training even that was made easy for me, I was not looking forward to navigating around a billion buildings, but the little sign said building 2 follow the black line! Too easy

Left work after training still sporting the fog then went home to chill.

Went out later to the swim clubs AGM so watched the royal wedding on fast forward when I got home. Must more efficient way to watch it.

Day 206,207&208 - woops forgot I was a blogger!

Be coz I...totally forgot to blog the last few day this is a catch up post!

206- Tues was a beautiful day, had a BBQ lunch with good friends who I have not seen for way too long! It was nice catching up and planning some Tassie fun for next holidays.

207- first day back at work, it was good to be back, although going through 203 emails took the best part of the day.

Best of all it was a beautiful night and I had a great walk with Jane, we definitely walk faster in the dark!

208- busy day and I have no car, it's gone to get new tyres, so I can't go to Zumba tonight as Billy didn't take a house key and even if I jog I won't be back in time to let him in. I will just do Zumba at home tonight.

Can't miss a good Zumba on a Thursday!

Can't believe it's Friday tomorrow and the weekend, hope the weather stays nice fir the weekend as I fancy a nice hill walk - Bee

Day 205 - 12kg's to go

Bee coz I...still have plenty left on me to lose I have added another 10 instead of the original 5 as planned.

I lost .5 kg this week so the scales are still moving, happy happy happy!

Today was a crazy day, I went for a walk around lilydale lake and had a nice little picnic. Then called past the shops, did a few things around the house then went out for dinner.

Dinner was suppose to be Mexican with Gee, nick and pete but it was closed so we ended up a Chinese. I had two entrees, chicken and sweetcorn soup then a the above, it was only small and a bit oily but I used my napkin to wipe off as much as I could.

Then on returning to my car I had a flatty lucky for me I was close to Gee's house so he changed it and home it went!

Day 204 - you think you know someone then...

Be coz I....have known Mucker and his family for many years (Jane, my friend who I walk with on Wednesday's and Mucker are brother and sister) I feel I know him and them quite well, I have been to his house many times.

Then just when you think you know someone... You find out they have a Feijoa Tree!

I have loved Feijoas since i first tasted them on a holiday to Australia when I was ten. I have on and off had a supplier up until about three years ago, I am always saying to people with gardens (eg Gee and my dad) " you should try growing Feijoas".

Well I was over at Mucker's and we were just out on the veranda and looking at all the fruit trees in his garden and I said " you should try growing Feijoas" he looked at me oddly and said "Feijoas" in a slightly different way ( I have an accent so that's not unusual) I said yes and started to describe them, he just got up and said come with me and took me into the kitchen and there was a huge basket full of them, "where did you get them" I said, in an almost accusing manner and he said "off our tree" he then took me out the front, as I was stuffing the delicious find in my mouth and there they were all over the front garden I looked up and there were 2 big trees ( the only ones I had seen were bushes) it was like the Easter bunny had been only instead of eggs he has left little bundles of goodness all over the floor!
Happy Easter indeed!

Then he grabbed a plastic bag and we picked a bag full, just thinking about it, it must have looked like two adults having an Easter egg hunt to passers by lol

Then we had a great arvo watching dvd's, sitting on the veranda, looking at stars and watching planes take off miles away as they were coming towards us we could see them turning off their takeoff lights. It was great!

Day 203 - a quick trip up the hill

Bee coz I....got an invite to the movies I had to make a quick trip up the dreaded big hill so I could get back in time. This picture does the hill no justice but if you look at the size of the people going up the path to the right you can sort of tell how steep it is.
Anyway I made it to the movies with seconds to spare! It was an ok movie but it was more fun watching Jorja she did so well and she was very tired!

Went for a hydro session and spa this arvo it was nice to just sit and chill (or boil)
A good day over all but looking forward to tomorrow - bee

Day 202 - a beautiful day and chocolate

Bee coz I...scored little miss on this beautiful autumn day, we spent lots of time walking. We started of with a 4.5km walk with Leo the dog, Jorja just loves it when he walks along side the pram, she tells him come on Leo, and sorry when he runs into the wheel.

We then returned home and Jorja had an early lunch then a huge sleep 2hrs 45mins to be exact.

I fixed Billy and myself lunch and after I had eaten my lunch I had a overwhelming urge to eat chocolate, now I'm not a huge fan of chocolate, I don't really like it but I had to eat it! I have had a block of rum and raisin chocolate on my side draw since September, the weekend before I started my health kick.

Well I ate 3 of those rows! I enjoyed them too! Then I put the chocolate in a zip lock bag and put it back in the draw, binge over, I may have been low on sugar??? Who knows.

Do I feel bad or naughty - No!
Did I feel a little ill about half an hour later - Yes!

Then Miss J, aka sleeping beauty awoke and we went on a 5km round trip to the duck park, without the dog. Lots of fun was had and I tried out jogging with jorja's pram, it was not to bad except I was in my jeans. It was funny that Jorja was flapping her arms and saying weeeee, while I was jogging.

Dinner was uneventful but pre ordered from the fish and chip shop, good Friday so it's the busiest day of the year for them. ( don't panic I had grilled fish and salad!)

Went to bed to watch a DVD and had an early night - I feel like climbing a big hill tomorrow as my calves are almost better now!

Day 201 - you know your in trouble when ...

Be coz I....could hardly walk today due to sore calf muscles, I knew I was in trouble when the three little steps out the front of my house nearly killed me when I was going off to Zumba!

Not even two minutes into Zumba and I was re thinking the research that shows a faster recovery if you keep exercising when you are aching!

It was a killer, but we did some great songs tonight so I was glad I went! No Eleanor or Claire until next Thursday! Will have to do Zumba at home.

Went to the movies today and saw Arthur, not bad a few laughs but I found it a bit hard to see the humor in an 30 year old alcoholic trying to straiten himself out! Few good gags and helen mirram was funny!

Well that's it, hope I can walk tomorrow!

Day 200 - more steps!

Bee Coz I....have made it to day  200, i feel very proud!  it does not feel like it has been that long.

to celebrate i went and did the 1000 steps, i think there is only 776 but believe me, thats enough. Not sure why but i chose to wear a rain jacket, maybe because it was raining? anyway about 10 mins in i realised the errors of my ways, i was drenched under the jacket. On the bright side it was like a mini sauna and i drank plenty of water so i was fine.

Mother nature likes to rain on a Wednesday and spoil Jane's and my walk, we foiled her today and went for a coffee instead, we will have to come up with a wet weather plan now winter is round the corner.

Day 199 ...2.5kg's to go!

Bee coz I.... Weighed in on day 198 but forgot to post it, I now have 2.5kg's to go making my total loss now 27.5kg's - can't believe it, well I can because I have dropped 4 sizes in jeans since October.

Also looked at my blog counter it was 1234 today! Woo - thanks for reading my crap lol

Off to enjoy another holiday on the costa del Boronia, no idea what I will do today! Stay tuned

Day 198 - fun in the sun

Bee coz I....had a busy day with everything from shopping, walking the dog and cuddling a very cute baby to having a holiday in the garden and going on a walk up the local hills!

My timing was a bit crazy for my trip up the hills, I decided late in the day to go and do the 1000 steps in the dandenong ranges national park, it was getting dark as I got back to my car and I was not back in time for Zumba, although I assure you my legs had a great work out! Knees held up well and cardio wise it was so much easier then ever before.

Went to bed early as my legs were stuffed - Bee

Day 197 - photo fail

Bee coz I....wanted to show you all my new coat I tried to take a pic in the mirror but as you can see it didn't really work but I posted it anyway to show you the pile of clothes on the draws that are more things to take to the salvo's and you know know that I hang my sexy wetsuit up on my wall as it motivates me. Although I woke up the other night and got a fright, I though there was someone in my room!

Had fun at the market today with Connie and steve I didn't buy anything just walked around looking that's why I had my coat on, it was freezing.

It was even colder at 7.45am this morning when I went for a run out side. It felt so good to be back on the track although I did miss the treadmill moving the ground for me, I had to do all the work!

On holidays all next week so I hope to get a few extra swims in this week as I slowed down my swimming to take up running and I want to get swim fit again! Bring it on!

Day 196 - meet Leo's bestfriend!

Bee coz I go to Tassie a lot and don't want to take Leo on the plane or boat as it would be cruel for him, I leave him in the capable hands of Gee.

Leo has Gee wrapped around his little finger, Gee takes him for long walks and let's him sleep on the bed!

Leo sulks a bit when we get home and collect him as it's back to reality.

Gee is one of those mates who will help you do the shitty jobs and had my back garden whipped ( or whipper snippered) in to shape with me last month in 2 hrs, which would have taken me weeks!
He is a great mate! Thanks Gee

On to other news I walked down to the local cinema tonight and enjoyed watching " just go with it" a predictable but harmless comedy with a few laugh out load moments. A great lazy arvo movie.

Day 194 & 195 - back to 100%

Bee coz I....am now back to 100% exercise (but still being cautious) I did my first Eleanor Zumba in about 3 weeks, two songs in and I was sweaty as! I hope my Zumba addiction never wears off!

Eleanor did a shout out to two of us in the class who have lost lots of weight well it's the Zumba that can take the credit (ok I'll take a bit of it!) there is nothing like a good dance to tone and drop the kilo's!

The other upside to Zumba is that as you do a lot of the dancing on your toes I find I can now wear my boots all day without even noticing!

Friday was a good day too, Tracy and Jorja came over in the morning and we had fun as usual I did some food shopping and a little bit of washing then a lot of catching up on tv shows.
House work is all done for the weekend so starting to sort out the hard rubbish this weekend - love a good clear out!

Day 193 - walking tall

Bee coz I....found a brand new pair of boots at the op shop last weekend I have been walking tall lately. It very funny and great for winter as my jeans are no longer dragging in on the floor.

I had a great day in work today as I got a lot of things done and had some great chats with work collected who are as always generous with their time and ideas.

It was raining again so missed out on my walk with Jane. Did Zumba at home and worked up a sweat anyway.

Then it was off to bed for an early night because it's freezing and I have the diploma tomorrow.

Day 192 - a lazy dinner

Bee coz I....had the slow cooker on last night, I woke to the smell of cooked silverside, yum! I had a sneak taste (all good chefs do!).

Great day in work today, I spent a whole morning clearing my inbox and sorting my emails, some dated back to 2001! Good feeling.

Billy was out for dinner so I made an easy one and went for a quick walk. Then I jumped in a hot shower and decided to chill for the night and miss my hydro and spa. I have done something everyday since injuring myself so cash in a day off (well I did go for a walk so it only half counts)

I enjoyed the night in! Bee

Lunch: wrap and s bite of a strawberry flan, but it was to sweet! So gave up on it!
Dinner: as above. Avo on toast and s little bit of silverside (corned beef) and lots of water.

Day 191 - 4kg's to go!

Be coz I....had not weighed myself for a while as the Dr told me that the anti inflams can add weight coupled with the reduced exercise due to the fun ban (for my own good) I was surprised to see a kilo loss for the two weeks, I think about half way through I was still the same and the kilo is from this week! Got to be happy with that!

I only have a short week in work this week, I have diploma on Thurs then off Friday so this week will fly. Then I am on leave until after Easter.

I wish I was going to Tassie to do more kayaking and running on my fav road but not these hols, I will be putting my hard rubbish out and having local fun. Stay tuned for that exciting episode!

Day 190 - a great day

Bee coz I....did 20 min run on the treddy today and 25km on the bike, 15mins on the xtrainer I was stuffed.

Lucky for me two helpful elves came over and cut a hole in the cupboard so my big fridge could be moved from the laundry into my kitchen. I was so happy!

If you look really close you can see my reflection in the door! I am friends with my reflection too now :) Bee

Dinner: cous cous with Haloumi and a banana.
Snack: Tracy made homemade fat free bran muffins I had two mini ones they were delish!

Day 189 - what's mine is yours

Bee coz I....was cleared to give Zumba a go, I was at the gym for 8am, the class was great, Claire had learned my favorite track and we did it today. Thanks Claire!

Later on in the day I met up with Tracy and Jorja and Tracy's friend for a quick dip in the hydro pool. After I was sitting in the cafe with them all and Jorja said "dink pleeze" and proceeded to skull down my water. She drinks like a fish!

The had a PJ night and did very little. Just what I needed after my late night. - Bee

Day 188 - it's a beautiful day

Bee coz I....got to take some time in lieu today I finished work at 3pm. It was nice to take advantage of the beautiful weather.

Came home and did a bit of house work, did some food shopping, cooked dinner and got my eyebrows waxed all by 6.30pm then I went for a walk. I ate the other half of my pumpkin salad with a tiny bit of pasta.

Had a great night hanging out with Mucker, drank three glasses of low alcohol wine, so i was merry (I have never been able to drink much!)

Finally got to sleep around 2am happy in the knowledge that I had Zumba in the morning!

Day 186 & 187 - long work days this week

Bee coz I....worked late again on we'd and then raced to janes for a we'd walk I thought I'd do another double post.

We had a great day in work, with the celebration day for our new community hub, the weather was cracking and we got to spend most of it outside, did some African drumming with some young people and really enjoyed seeing people I had not seen for about a year! I love my job!

I also love my walk with Jane, we race through our 4pm walk chatting away as we go! It's good for the body and mind.

Thursday was a very busy day, running around to meetings. Went to visit my friend Caro tonight (the one with 8 kids) our kids grew up together and Caro and I have been besties since we met at a young mums group in '94! I love them all to bits and we always have a laugh.

Then watched the biggest loser make overs, they all looked awesome! I am definitely in love with the commando dude!

can't believe Friday is here again, which means so is Saturday! When I can go back to Zumba! It's one of claire's so good to get back in to it!

Day 184 & 185 - busy times

Bee coz I.... Worked 11hrs on Monday I don't have much to report so this is a double post!

As Monday was a long day, Tuesday got be be a short work day!

I finished at 2.15 and spent the arvo going to a couple of op shops, just got a couple of bargains for my nephew Alex. Then I headed of for a gym sesh. 20 min run, 10 min power walk and 15mins xtrainer, job done.

Cooked a nice dinner and then back to the gym for some deepwater running in the hydro pool and a spa.

Dinner: salad and 2 little triangle sandwiches.

Tues:
Bfast: steamed dumplings

Day 183 - a great run

Bee coz I....have made quite a good recovery I decided to go to the gym. I chose the gym to do my run for three reasons, 1) it was raining 2) less impact when running on the treddy 3) if i had to stop I would not have to walk home for miles!

The run went well, I got some great tips from instructor David and walked at 5.7kmph for warm up and cool down (5 mins each) then jogged for 20 mins at 7.5kmph I was quite happy with that as I felt I could have done more but didn't want to push it. Then I did 30km on the bike.

Then a little bit of shopping and a little bit of house work made some yummy soup then a lot of relaxing.

Great day, glad to be feeling better, it's been a long week.

Day 182 - this is the top!

Bee coz I...had a 40th to go to tonight (next two years will be full of them - love it!) I got to put on my part outfit, the one I panicked about the other week.

It's not a good pic as it was taken in the dark, for the record my eye brows are not that dark or my hair, they just came out odd. I had a request so here it is! It also looks like a few sequins are missing but it's just the light.

Had another awesome night, this family know how to party and the food is always great!

I hope Tracey enjoyed her night as much as I did x x

Also did a touch of opp shopping got a pair of diana Ferrari boots (black) looked brand new for $6.90!

Went shopping with connie, she is back at the gym and was also sporting and nice new hair do. We had lunch and I bought the next size down in jeans $29 a pair for bootleg jeans.

Also stepped on the scales - no change so I am happy with that. Might try a light jog tomorrow.

Day 181 - random post

Bee coz I....had a normal day ( great day at work, I love my job - you know how it goes) and I got in to bed at 7.30 pm (yes you read that correct) to watch biggest looser then fell asleep in the first add break, I have nothing to report.

So I thought every now and then I will call in a random pic that tells a bit about me and my family or life. Today's pic is of my Dad, he is the one on the left. He usually smiles but this camel had very bad breath! The camel is smiling :)

Day 180 - shadows

Bee coz I....used to talk to my shadow when I walked home from primary school, I considered it company. I liked it.

I don't know what age I was when I stopped liking my shadow, it was something to ignore and avoid looking at.

It struck me today that we are friends again!
