Day 179 - 4km's isn't much!

Bee coz I... Was told I shouldn't do too much walking until I mend a bit but I really enjoyed a stroll with Jane tonight we just took our time, when we got back we looked at the gps and time and we were only 10 mins slower over the hour and we had waited at the lights for 5 mins as the crossing was broken so that was good!

Day 178 - a trip to the quacks

Bee coz I....have been to the quacks, I am feeling much better. He agrees and is happy with my diagnosis and plan of attack, except he told me I have to take the pain meds as they are anti inflams too for the rest of the week. And not do to much walking for a couple of days.

I am always happier with a plan of attack!

He also said I had to eat everytime I have meds so not to worry if I put back on a couple of kg's over the next two weeks. I will try to break even!

Day 177 - a day in the city

Be coz I...had the day off Ian and I spent the day in the city, it was great when I was walking around but when we stopped and sat down I was in pain.

I have a high tolerance of pain ( probably why I like to go hard in the gym!) and I hardly ever take pain killers but I am on them round the clock now. Just the over the counter stuff as it works really well for me.

Will go to the docs tomorrow

Sad saying good by to my bro but I was glad he got the skybus and I didn't have to drive out to the airport and back as I could not have lasted 2 hrs in the car!

I miss Zumba :( bee

Day 176 - my wings have been clipped!

Bee coz I... Hurt my back yesterday I was reduced to the hydro pool this morning. I am in a lot of pain but know I will be ok if I rest and let my body repair its self. So it's hydro, hot packs and anti inflams for me and no Zumba, running or boxing all week.

On a brighter note my bro is in town and we had a great lazy arvo with great friends!

Day 175 - Meet Eleanor and Claire!

Bee coz I....have now lost 25kg's I thought I would introduce you to Eleanor and Claire my awesome Zumba instructors.

These two women are responsible for changing my life. I started Zumba just before my health kick and I was bitten by the Zumba bug instantly. In stead of being a do nothing and eat anything addict, something snapped in my head and I switched to a Zumba addict.

My first ever class was with Eleanor, Connie talked me in to going and boy I have never had so much fun while trying not to die at the same time.

Eleanor's class is like a boot camp for teaching us to be sexy, I nearly pee myself laughing every week when she tries to get the group to do sexy freestyle moves. She stops and the class panic, a few of us have got the hang of it but others have not! It's well funny.

Eleanor and Claire are also the instructors who talked me in to going down the water slide at Christmas starting another love in my life - watersides. Truth be told Eleanor told me I had to go down, and I did as I was told :)

Claire is also a hoot, her Saturday morning class is a bit smaller and a great place for beginners to learn the moves as you are less conscious of crashing in to someone! She helped me to get my one, two, three's happening.

Claire also does her own choreography and is responsible for me wanting to start dancing when I hear certain songs on the radio or in shops! Thanks Claire!
I'm thinking of trying her body jam class soon.

So thank you to Eleanor (left) and Claire(who had just finished our class on the right) for making me feel and dance sexy even though I have two left feet x x x

Day 174 - check out these cakes!

Bee coz I...went to a meeting this morning I got to check out these amazing cakes, that's all I did though. I can't even begin to describe how they smelt, lucky for me the next plate was a fruit platter.

Another busy but great day in work today followed by a quiet night, I put my daggy tracky dacks on and a jumper and did nothing but watch a double episode of the biggest looser.
Someone fell off of a bike in one of the challenges and it just reinforces the fact that they are dangerous!

Day 173 - who turned the lights out?

Bee coz I....had a crazy day in work today I was very tired when I got home and made the mistake of changing for Zumba and jumping under the doona.

I could have easily stayed there but thought about what I would miss out on, you know how much I love Zumba so out into the wild weather I went.

Just before we were about to start someone turned off half the lights while trying to turn on a plug in fan (hmmm) the lights are halogen and have to cool down before they come back on again, then when trying to turn them back on the turned the other half off! It was funny. Lucky for us the lights came back on eventually and Eleanor still gave us a full hour of Zumba magic.

I chatted to her after class and asked her why just under my knee caps get sweaty, she pointed out that it's just running down my legs and pooling where the material is touching my legs! And I thought I was some freak with sweat glands under my knees lol :) bee x

Day 172 - love and hate

Bee coz I....got back from boxing early and didn't go walking with Jane as she had first aid training on I had a nice chilled evening. As I had not boxed for 2 weeks I could feel the pain kicking in so I went to bed early after doing some more stretching and covering myself in liniment.

Before I went to bed I had to smile at the dog (leo) who was going up to Billy for a cuddle, right at that very moment I felt love for that cute little hound, a few hours later when he was going off at the possums (who were going off at each other) I thought to myself love that dog- hate the barking!

Day 171 - crashing into bikes!

Bee coz I... Stand at the back right hand corner of the gym sometimes (quite regularly) I crash in to the bikes at the back, it my own fault but Iike my spot, once or twice I have been late to Zumba and stood on the wrong side but it confuses me and it's just not as good, even the instructor noticed I was on the wrong side!

Not sure why I am telling you all that because it's not even a Zumba night! Actually it's a deep water night, it's just not the same without Debbie it's so serious now, I like my exercise with a bit of fun thrown in! Even at boxing one of the lads squeezes out farts to make us laugh at floor work time! Not that I am saying that would be appropriate for the water-aerobics instructor to do.

I'm off because I am waffling on! Night Bee

Day 170 - 6kg's to go!

Bee coz I....had soup cooking all night I got to have a very delish lunch. Hearty beef soup, there was a bit less beef in it this morning due to Billy taste testing!

Busy but great day in work today.

Day 169 - the day after the night before

Bee coz I....didn't get in until after pumpkin hour last night I went for my run (interval training) late (8am) the bike track was getting busy, stupid bikes! I was still half asleep and didn't remember to make sure the gps light was green on my app so it didn't record my time or distance. Boo! I am loving trying to pick up the speed and my knees are coping with the short bursts.

Spent the day doing the house work and washing, then visited Jorja who showed her appreciation by licking my car window - she is so funny!

Came home and put on the slow cooker to make hearty beef soup.
Then had an early night - bee

Lunch: omelette and fruit and veggie juice
Dinner: sausage and salad

Day 168 - it's party time!

Bee coz I....had to go to a party tonight I had for the first time in many years a clothing crisis. Normally I don't give two hoots what i wear (ask my auntie Di or mum, they will confirm that I have been like that since I was little)

I have never been one to worry if things don't match or colours clash. As a child I thought nothing about a nice cord floral red dress with a mixed shade knitted purple polar neck, green wooly tights and brown shoes (I still don't see what the problem was Auntie Di) i always remember mum giving us the freedom to pick our own clothes which i loved (thanks mum) as an adult I learned to go with black pants or jeans and a colored top who cares what shoes or bag!

Until today! Not sure why but all my life I have wanted a sparkly sequined top (I'm serious stop laughing) and the other day, with a birthday voucher from mum and dad, that dream came true!
Coupled with an invite to be my bestie in works plus one at a party the scene was set!

I chose my black denim jeans, ace silver (gun metal) top and a black cardy and black boots and new black matching under wear ( ironically I love matching underware) I put the outfit on and shocked myself. I looked in the mirror and I could actually see the weight I had lost, i got all self conscious! Like what I wear matters!

Then I looked down and was shocked by my own cleavage. I suddenly panicked and felt I needed an opinion! Was the top to booby? Will someone think I am a hooker? The party was in St Kilda- I had to consider that fact. So I rang three mates who live near by for a second opinion- no one was home Panic!

Sent a text message to Bel, who said it will be fine (she is the fashion police) and headed out to meet her out the front of the venue (threw a spare top in car- just in case)

Met Bel outside the fair (see above pic) and she loved it! Plus no one asked me "how much?" while I was waiting for Bel so I felt i passed :) booby top was a winner!

Had a great night, 80's music, free diet coke and 3 pieces of finger food delish!
A great night was had by all - kind of made all the hard work worth it! Bee

Day 167 - when life gives you lemons ...

Bee coz I...was given a lemon by a neighbour I made a cold drink of water with lemon and honey! What a treat.
Then best of all I spent the night catching up on the biggest loser, the show is good for showing training techniques.
Then Connie popped round and we went down for coffee (diet coke actually) it was great to catch up and also see Connie in less pain, her injury is getting much better now and she has given up sweets for lent. I was very jealous of her coat, it looked so warm, she got it in the UK - didn't get home until very late.
Going out to a party tomorrow! Will try out my new sparkly top, and black jeans - Bee

Day 166 - one of my fav. Moments in Tassie

Be coz I....arrived back to reality yesterday I enjoyed going in to work and telling them about me having a go of a Segway, it was so much fun and everyone was very jealous.
It was nice to be back at work.
Back to Zumba too boy have I missed my Zumba - Bee

Day 165 - a quick run

Be coz I....am heading back to Melbourne today I got a early run in today. I used an early session of the C25K as interval training. I ran as fast as I could and did a good time. It was a good workout. It started to rain just as I finished it was freezing.

Then squeezed in so last minute running around then back to Melb. As we were in the runway we could see the firemen having their photo taken, probably a story on yesterday's fire.

Got home then out to pick up Leo, and started attacking mt washmore. I have last weeks washing and the holiday washing to get through.

Day 164 - shopping

Be coz I....ate some treats yesterday, today was a uber healthy day, did lots of incidental exercise walking around the shops.

I love poking around the op shops in Tassie, they are far better at pricing their garments, got a couple of bargains for Alex.

On the way home we spotted smoke behind the airport and went to check it out, the airpot firemen had it under control.

Had a night catching up on the biggest loser on line and another early night.

Day 163 - what a treat!

Bee coz I...went with the family to the taste of Huon, I ate a few treats, I did a 4k run in the morning to make up for the fact that I was going to eat some tempura mushrooms.

I also had no breakfast, but I had the mushrooms for a late breakfast, a beautiful angus steak sandwich for lunch and a rum and raisin ice cream to finish off the day! What a treat. Best thing I have tasted in 4 months. Them beans on toast for dinner.

Day 162 - a nice time in the park

Bee coz I...hung out with, Ian, Billy and Alex at the park this afternoon I got to take lots of pictures of this cheeky monkey playing. I can't believe how his speech has come on since Christmas.

That little boy is so good for my ego, I knocked on the car window and he was so happy to see me :) he melts my heart.

The rest if the day was filled with cheering the club on at swimming.

Forgot to say I slept for 11 hrs last night and I think I'll do the same tonight. Off for a run in the morning so night night.

Day 161 - Run Forrest Run

Bee coz I....saw this crazy man running down the street I just had to take a picture! Nah, not true, it's my brother demonstrating to us what he does as a joke with his son Alex (2) as they drive away, Ian runs and Alex shouts "be careful" and Alex giggles away, it's so cute. It's nice that Ian is willing to look like a plonk to entertain his son, that's love for you :)

Anyway after the busiest week ever I got up at silly o'clock and jumped on a plane to Tassie, I was so tired I closed my eyes in melb. And opened them in Tassie.

Went strait to the pool as our club was swimming at the Tassie states. Spent the afternoon at the Mona art gallery with mum, dad, Billy and Ian. It was worth seeing but full of sexually explicit stuff and how anyone calls a video of someone pooing art I don't know!

There was some cool stuff, then it was an early night for me.

Day158 + 159 + 160 - playing catch up

Bee Coz I...had the busiest week at work, you will have to forgive me for slacking off! I didn't slack off on my health kick, just blogging about it, it was sad missing boxing this week but i went to the gym and zumba instead, other than that i kept up with the usual for the week. I only managed 7 hrs sleep for Thurs and Fri night so getting up early to go to Tassie was hard (thats in the next post)

Day 157 - spa o' clock

Bee coz I....did a run after work, sorted dinner then did deep water aerobics, spa o'clock could not come quick enough.
I am so tired I can't see strait so hi ho hi ho it's off to bed I go! Night night Bee

Day 156 - 7kg to go

Bee coz I.... Have my busiest week at work this week I am pre apologizing for short posts.

Racking up lots of steps at work running a program for yr 10 students, but I am not in the office to hound my team members but I am sure they are still at it as it's the last week of the comp and we are still holding on to second place.

I have lost more and now have 3 more pair of jeans that fit which is a bonus.

Day 155 - a new twist on an old favorite!

Bee coz I....ran out of pita bread I made my joggers lunch with spinach tortilla, it was quite delish.

Worked for a few hours this morning then squeezed in a run, spent the bulk of the day fixing up the garden, lots of mowing etc.

I was totally stuffed by 8.30pm so went to bed. I love my bed!

Day 154 - a night out

Bee coz I....went out to dinner with friends tonight to a pub, the lack of healthy options on the menu narrowed my options down to a sweet potato and lentil burger! I gave the fries to one of the boys and pulled all the bread out of the roll and still I could not finish it all!

It was a nice night so we sat out in the beer garden and chatted.

Did the usual training today - Zumba and interval training and then did a spot of house work and op shopping.

Day 153 - I cant believe its friday

Bee Coz I....have been on the go all week, it had kind of come as a shock that its Friday already.

We are all organised for our program on Monday which is good and i spent the morning in the city at a meeting that went well. I dont like going in to the city but it was ok this time as it was just the edge of the city.

Took Leo to the dog groomers and picked up some ebay. Took the kids to the shops then went for a blast on the cross trainer at gym.

Day 152 - boy do i ache!

Bee coz...I went strait from boxing to committee i did not get to stretch out as much as i would have liked, as a result i am aching, lucky for me i have zumba tonight so will get to stretch it out later.

Had fun in work today, a program i am working on is working out, we are falling behind the first team on the 10000 step challenge and i am doing everything i can to rev our team up. I told them it will be boot camp week 4 if we dont pick up the pace!

Well once again i had better race out the door or i will miss Zumba - Bee

Day 151 - Boxing with Amanda

Bee Coz I...had boxing and a committee meeting tonight, i had to miss my walk with Jane (sad) but boxing was great, no dizzy spells this week, i ate a few sugar lollies before training and it worked. Plus i had a big lunch so there was plenty of fuel on board.

Amanda who got me in to boxing is awesome, she keeps up with the men and she packs a punch. I want her in my corner if there is ever a fight ;0)

other than that another great day in work, we had a birthday celebration for myself and a co worker in our staff meeting today, he had a mud cake i had a watermelon YUM.

Day 150 - back to reality!

Bee coz I....had two days of lunch out in a row, today was back to reality, lucky I like reality :)

I am so loving having my little veggie box at the front door, I ate some basil today on the way in to the house, yesterday I sampled chives.

Did 30 mins of interval training tonight followed by deep water. Kathy is back so it was a hard work out - just what I like.

Wow i have made it to Day 150!

Day 149 - happy birthday to us!

Bee coz I....am a leap year twin, it was sort of my bro and I's birthday today. It was also weigh in day - 8kg to go!

had the best day, went out with the girls at work for lunch, I forgot to take a pic of my meal as I was so looking forward to it that nothing was going to stop me! While it was a little indulgent I did leave the sour cream as you can see! It was a crape with spinach and recotta with side salad - delish, good food and good company - thanks girls!

The rest of the day was spent in a meeting and I finished work at 3pm so did a few chores, interval training then Zumba.
