Day 57 - 9.5kgs to go.

Bee Coz I....didn't do a proper interval training yesterday because of the voting and weather, i went this morning before pump and balance. Had a great day for stepping thing up, i ran round the whole track including the slight hill, it was definitely harder but a doable challenge! then i upped my weights in three pump  tracks, including triceps which are my weakness.

Went shopping got two new shorts and training pants and two new tops.

oh and lost 1.5kgs, over the half way mark! whoo hoo

Day 56 - dont forget to vote!

Bee Coz I ….am going to the hair dressers today I always feel like going out! So just in case I do, I’m writing my blog early today.
Have not seen Connie all week, so I have just messaged her to see if she wants to go to body balance today – fingers crossed!
I have to re think my day today as I can’t do my interval jogging today in the usual place because it’s a polling both for the election – How rude! I will have to find a new spot if it stops raining in time, if not I will do it tomorrow.
Just got text, Connie can’t come as she has to sort some stuff, I reminded her to vote as you get a fine if you don’t vote, so very democratic!
I’m off for a shower as I stink after Zumba!
Have a great day –Bee

B’fast: diet shake
Lunch: Toast with homus & fruit and diet dessert.
Dinner: Healthy pita pizza and fruit.

Day 55 - going to bed hungry ;0(

Bee Coz I....got home from the gym at 9pm, i am going to bed hungry, its just to late for me to eat much to it was half a slice of soy and linseed with a new thing on top, sweet potato and cashew dip spread thinly (delish!). Lucky for me i had a nice lunch.

Today in work i got a lot of little jobs done and a few big ones too, so it was a good day in work. I raced home put on my Zumba gear and headed out to the fundraiser, as anticipated it was fun, then Billy and his girlfriend came down to the gym for sign up and assessment.

I was glad to get home to chilax after a day that started with 6am body balance!

I am stuffed so night night - Bee

B'fast: soy and linseed toast.
Lunch steamed veggie dumplings (DELISH)
Dinner: Half a slice of S&L bread with sweet potato and cashew (also delish)

Day 54 - another quick one!

Bee Coz i....am stuffed its just a quick one tonight.

Awesome day today at work, then came home and took Billy and his girlfriend to join the gym.

Zumba was great, a big laugh and i cant wait for the fundraiser zumba tomorrow night, i have put in a request for the Robbie Williams better man as a cool down.

Zumba is the best - Bee

Bfast: soy and linseed with homus
lunch: same as b'fast but with fruit.
Dinner: Tuna and dutch toast with diet dessert.

Day 53 - a testing day

Bee Coz I.... had training all day it was another day out of the office, another catered training with lots of tempting food, food filled with yummy calories and fat, lucky for me i had a can of tuna, diet yoghurt and figs in my bag so i just chose to avoid the buffet.

Today was also a testing day emotionally as a person from my past was at the training, this person was a very close friend who ran off with the first real love of my life, i was devo'ed at the time but over the years i realised that i was not so sad about losing him more that i felt i was betrayed by a friend and lost a good friend out of it all, the guy was a bit of a plonker anyway, they ended up marrying and having two cute kids together and having mutual friends our paths had crossed a number of times over the 19 years and that was fine, they recently separated which is sad.

Today there was one very awkward moment when she was talking to another participant about the break up and turned to me and referring to the fact that he is stressing her our by wanting to reconcile and she said "he is so annoying you can have him back now Barb". That kind of shocked me and those listening looked at me to see what my reaction would be, i just chuckled and said "you made your bed" chuckled again and walked out to get lunch. She sat next to me at lunch and we actually had a good laugh about old school days so i guess it got rid of the elephant in the room.

After the training i came home and was starving and thinking about my weird day and felt for the first time like i needed a junk fix, i knew it was just a response to an emotionally interesting day, so instead of fixing it all with food i called Mucker and had a chat then went for an interval training session, i felt so much better for that approach and glad to recognise that i have changed that behaviour, exercise is better than junk!

Had a great dinner of grilled fish and tabuli then went to bodybalance.

A sort of testing (which i passed lol ) but good day over all!

Night night Bee

B'fast: chicken carrot and salad on wholemeal roll (subway low fat option)
Lunch: tuna, yoghurt, and prunes.
Dinner: grilled fish and tabuli.

Day 52 - boiling down under

Bee Coz I....forgot to bring half my lunch to work today i was starving all day, i had a small bowl of veggie soup (i know soup on a 35oC day = mad!) and i was at a school all day running a program so i couldn't even nip to the shops in my lunch break, so my co worker and i went for a walk (i know soup and a walk on a 35oC day = crazy) but i had plenty of water so it was manageable.

Raced back from work and got sushi for dinner and will be off to the pool for deep water tonight, at least no one will be moaning tonight that the pool is to cold! 6am start tomorrow with pump, i hope they don't change it to step aerobics again tomorrow i will be fuming (well not really I'll just go to the gym or interval training)

looked at my stats tonight for the last 52 days here is where the readers are from....

I went and did interval training before Body balance, it was great but still very warm, i got through the training much easier tonight. The light was going but it was beautiful, and a few birds watched me training.

Day 50 - only 10.8kg to go!

Bee Coz I….am an early bird I was awake at 6am this morning which is a pain in the butt because I would have loved to sleep in! so I got up and put a load of washing on and hopped back into bed and chillaxed catching up on some of the blogs I read on my laptop. Then the dog started barking at the birds so I got up and watched some TV – I love my Tivo!
Then I hit the scales (not literally) and I have lost 1.2kg so that is a bonus, actually its only a 1.1kg loss as I lost 1.1kg last week but didn’t bother with the 0.1kg but now it has a buddy its worth a mention, so now that’s only 0.8kg till the half way mark, which I had hoped to reach by Christmas so after that 0.9kg comes off everything is a bonus till Christmas!

Made some veggie soup today and ate too many pistachio nuts, luckily Billy likes them so he ate most of them.
Well got to rush as i have to bring the washing in off the line, what a gorgeous day we had in Melbourne today.
50 days! i'm proud of myself– Bee

B’fast: cereal
Lunch: homus on toast, yoghurt and nuts (a few too many)

Day 48 - 10 out of 10 for catering.

Bee Coz I….am a homing pigeon I can usually find my way home, however going away from home I could be on a strait road from A to B and easily get lost! Today on the way to Phillip Island the problem was that someone must have built a bypass around the town I needed to turn off after and I was about 20 mins up the road when I realized the town was missing! Thanks to my iphone and Google maps I was able to track cross country without losing too much time.
I had a great day with inspiring peers and nice health food options. Then I raced back to Melb. For a fundraiser at the gym, a Zumba class run by my two favorite instructors, it was great.
Sadly my favorite beads broke today but I guess that just gives me a chance to make it back up how I want it! Will let you know how I go!
Night Night – Bee

B’fast: cereal
Lunch: small salmon wrap and vegetarian sandwiches with heaps of fruit to chase it down! 10/10 for catering.
Dinner: cruskits and homus.
Snack: 3 mints

Day 47 - new shoes!

Bee Coz I…. have started interval jogging I needed to get new runners so I don’t hurt my calves again like last week, on the way home from work I called in to a shop called Active feet, a friend works there occasionally  and they are all well trained to fit runners, they get you to walk and jog on a treadmill and using a camera look how you run and what shoe will be best, then you put the runners on and have a jog in them and then they let you run around the block if you want lol, I stuck to the treddy. I have to wear them in for a few days then I can jog in them.
Had the diploma again today, loved it, there are some great people on the course and its nice to get to know staff from other areas.
I’m off to Phillip Island tomorrow, it’s a 2hr drive, I will be up at 5.30am then off to BB then driving down to the island, having the all day meeting, 2hr drive back then strait to the Zumba fundraiser. Phew I am tired just thinking about it!
Talk tomorrow Byyyyyyeeee – Bee

B’fast: cereal
Lunch: sandwich and 1 chicken tender.
Dinner: grilled fish on toast and veggie juice.
Snack: celery with homus and cream cheese.

Day 46 - small rebellions

Bee Coz I….got up at 5.30am to go to pump i was devastated to find out it wasn’t on and it had been changed to a step class. Boooo! So I went to the gym instead with a little convincing from the gym instructors. It was nice catching up with one of them as we went to school together and she was showing me pics of her wedding.
Today I had the diploma learned lots as usual which is a good thing but was glad to be finished at the end of the day as I had almost used my full capacity of brain power for the day!
Connie’s husband and son came back from the UK today and Connie said she can get back on the wagon now they are back, hope she can as it was good having a health kick buddy! COME BACK CONNIE!!!
A friend has a blog and he often talks of life’s small rebellions, well that got me thinking, what do I rebel against, it used to be change but now I like change, I enjoy the challenges and the rewards it brings. I did think of one small rebellion (other than letting my lawn grow to long) and this is a picture of it!

What is your little rebellion?
- Bee

B’fast: diet shake
Lunch: sandwich and a tandori chicken skewer, fruit.
Dinner: Rye cruskets with spinach dip.
Snack: Dutch toast with homus and fruit.

Day 45 - What a palaver!

Bee Coz I….had road works going on at the end of my street I had to drive the long way home from the gym, which normally I wouldn’t  care but today I didn’t bother changing so I was dripping wet and busting for the loo! Then when I got home I remembered it was bin night so I put out the bins, wet and still busting! I practically busted down the loo door when I finally got inside, and then nearly slid off the seat as I was still dripping wet from the pool! What a palaver!
The next two days I have the diploma so I am really looking forward to that then I’m off to Phillip Island for a statewide meeting on Friday, the next three days will be hard food wise because they always have such nice treats on offer! Plus Friday I will have to eat on the way home as it’s a 2hr drive and I want to get back for the fundraising Zumba night, so I will have to see if there is a subway on the way home or pack something that won’t need refrigerating all day?
Well I didn’t bother taking a pic of lunch today because it was exactly the same as yesterday, minus the nuts!
I will leave you with a pic of a cute white lion that I fed the weekend before I started my health kick, for no other reason than its cute!
Night night - Bee

B’fast: up and go
Lunch: Brown rice, tuna and veggies, yoghurt and prunes.
Dinner: Dutch toast with homus and a Nestle diet dessert.

Monday, November 15, 2010

Day 44 - a nice lunch.

Bee Coz I….went down to work at our other office to fill in for a sick staff member today I got a lot of little jobs done at work. Its always nice to tick a few things off the to do list. I made the nicest lunch at work too.
Had a great Zumba class tonight but for the first few tracks my shoes felt strange, not sure why but it righted its self.
Raced home as Mucker was coming over but last minute car trouble meant a rain check to the weekend so I’m going to make the most of a shower and early night.
Nighty night - Bee
B’fast: cereal
Lunch: brown rice with tuna, tomato and snow peas, then fruit, nuts and yoghurt.
Dinner: Homus and tomatoes on toast.

Day - 43 12kg to go

Bee Coz I….owe the house about 1000 hrs of service, I had to skip BB today but I worked hard scrubber dub dubbing and I will attempt to fit a interval jogging session in today but only if I can find my proper running shoes as I don’t want a repeat of last week!
I fell asleep at 10pm last night and then woke up at 2.30am, I was awake then until 5.30 then fell back to sleep until 7.30am, I think it was because I had the diet shake for dinner at 9.30 but then went to bed.
Hopped (well stepped) on the scales this morning and 1kg gone – just like that! I keep telling myself I’m going to hit a plateau sooner or later and I always think this will be the week, but it wasn’t that means I am 99% sure I will be half way before Xmas (unless someone builds an edam cheese shop next to my house).
Popped to the local shops to get some bits and pieces (and Sushi) and I went back to my car and got told by some uppity man that I could not sit in my car to eat my lunch as his wife wanted my car spot, I thought he was messing at first but realised he wasn't when he said “I’ll stand here till you have finished then!” I said “enjoy the view then” and rolled my window up! It took me 15 minutes to eat that sushi, he even huffed when I stopped to take a pic of it - he gave up before I did!
Welcome Luxemburg, Malaysia and Pakistan to my blog! I love looking at the stats map to see where everyone is from!
I have the gang (Rod, Tracy and Jorja coming over for dinner, I’m making my prawn salad and they can have sausages too, that will be a challenge for me not to eat a sausage.
Well I’m off to make food a plenty
Bye bye Bee

B’fast: mountain bread with salad and turkey (it’s all gone now)
Lunch: sushi (eaten very slowly) and had a diet yoghurt when I got home.
Dinner: will be prawn salad and Nestle diet desert.

Day 42 - a great night!

Bee Coz I…. had a day of running around I only made it to two classes at the gym Zumba and BB, but that’s ok.
I had my Rovers 30th birthday BBQ this afternoon/night and it was fantastic, caught up with friends I have not seen for years and It was great, we had some good laughs, I managed not to eat or drink anything I was too busy catching up. I forgot to have my Sat night treat which was going to be a strongbow, I guess I can have it another night now!
I had decided to walk to the event as it was just down the road a 5 minute walk from my place, the Rovers have moved to a new hall so I had not been there before, when I walked in there was lots of little peeps in tutus which confused me, then I remembered another hall at the other end of the road! I was at the wrong end! So I walked to the other end which took me a little farther away from home then planned. So when I walked home it was dark and rainy and on the dodgy side of the shops so I called Mucker (the bad influence in my life – who was a good boy tonight) and he stayed on the phone to me while I walked the 10 mins home. There was no point anyone coming for me as it would have taken longer than the walk home!
I really enjoyed tonight!
Bee

B’fast: salmon on S&L toast.
Lunch: can of tuna and yoghurt.
Dinner: diet shake ( as it was after 9pm and I couldn’t be arsed but was hungry!)

Friday, November 12, 2010

Day 41 - a nice surprise.

Bee Coz I….was boiling last night I did not get much sleep! My alarm went off at 5.30am, I got up and went to the gym before I remembered it was Friday, my day off from the gym! Ah well, I was there so did Bodybalance.

Had day two of the planning days, avoided pizza, pasta, snicker cookies and more. Brought my own lunch and snack so that made it easier. One of my team mates had a cool tshirt (see pic) loved that show.
Can’t believe it’s the weekend again, it comes around so fast, I must be getting old. It a thundery hot night here in Melb tonight with some good downpours great weather for the BBQ tomorrow – not! Fingers crossed it gets better.
Came home and my fav. flower had opened up which was a nice surprise.
Well must go as I have a life and its Fri night!
Namaste
Bee

B’fast: up and go
Lunch: brown rice, tuna and a veggie juice.
Dinner: chicken on whole meal toast (burnt!)
Snack, crackers and pumpkin dip.

Day 40 - a shorty

Bee Coz I….am mega stuffed from Zumba this will be a short post. First off I can't believe i have made it to day 40!

My favorite Soldier and Sailor remembering them on 11/11
Miss you grandad Tom and Bill - gone but never forgotten

Today was a treat filled day as it was day one of our planning days!

Things I could have eaten today at the planning days…..
·         Licorice bullets
·         Mars bars
·         Smarties
·         Starburst sweets
·         Cake
·         Fried fish and chips
·         Soft drink

Things I did eat at the planning days…..
·         Tartex on bread
·         Grilled fish
·         Salad
·         Fruit
·         Water (IQ water - does that make me smarter?)

I was very happy with myself, I kept thinking if you eat this you can’t have your Sat treat which I know I have forgotten to have my treat the last two weeks, but my treat this week is a strongbow! Won’t forget that.

Night night Bee

B’fast: tartex on toast
Lunch: grilled fish (yum) and salad
Dinner: turkey rice paper rolls (no surprise there!)

Day 39 - sharing the pain.

Bee Coz I….got  up at 5.30 am to do a pump class, I got to see a great sunrise with wicked red sky, then I remembered why I love pump, I had not been for about a year and have been avoiding going back to this class, I think I was scared of the pain! but it is a great class and I didn’t go overboard on the weights so I can feel I have done the class but I have not gone overboard! By the way my calves have come good today.

It was a yummy day for me today, I had to go to the local shops to get some bits and pieces for our planning days in work, so I called in to the health food shop and bought some Tartex, it’s one of my favorites things in the world, it’s a vegetarian spread and its not to bad as you only need a little bit on your whole meal roll. I also pulled out the middle of the whole meal roll (a trick I saw on the biggest looser – I know more trash TV) and had a few cold beaked been left over from yesterday, it was a good all rounder!

I popped in to the supermarket on the way home and picked up some shaved turkey breast, I wish I had a better idea on how much to ask for $6.90 and 200g later I realized 50g would have done! Billy does not like turkey so its going to be a boring turkey filled week food wise. Discovered turkey is great in rice paper rolls so that’s a good save. And a very nice dinner indeed.

Couldn’t do our walk tonight as it was raining, so I will go to body balance later, I love living this close to the gym.

Some bummer news today was that my bestie who lives in the countryside cant come to the bbq on Saturday, but on the upside I found out that she has been on a health kick too! 7kg lost SNAP! We shared some war stories about boot camp and jogging, it was nice having someone relate to my pain, after I lose my 20kg’s I might give boot camp a go hmmmm maybe not, I have a while to think about it!

Well gotta go and get ready for BB
Byeeeeee Bee

B’fast: tuna and yoghurt
Lunch: Tartex on whole meal roll (with guts pulled out) and baked beans.

Snack: slice of toast (S&L)

Day 38 - ignoring scones

Bee Coz I….am going to a bbq on Sat arvo, I have decided that I will have a stongbow, I have also decided I will have one on xmas day and one at the work xmas party, so that’s three for silly season festivities not to bad really. I’m not a big drinker in fact I hardly ever drink at all so it will be aa nice Sat night treat, I will also take my own food to the bbq so I know what I am eating. I can’t wait it will be fun.
Business as usual at work today – I love my job, can’t remember if I have said but next month I will have been there for 10 years, can’t wait as I get 12 weeks free holiday woo hoo, I’m going to save it for a rainy day.

Sat in a meeting today and had to ignore the most beautiful homemade scones with homemade raspberry jam, they smelled divine! Everyone said they were great. So i went back to the office and had beans on toast for lunch which was yum!
Did deep water tonight it was great and helped loosen up my calf muscles, my abs are better today but my calves were killing all day! Can’t wait for my walk tomorrow night
Night night – Tuesdays are the best night on TV, packed to the rafters followed by parenthood!

B'fast: drinking yoghurt
Lunch: beans on toast
Dinner:smoked salmon on crackers

Monday, November 8, 2010

Day 37 - jelly legs

Bee Coz I….had legs like jelly, I was a bit unco at Zumba and BB tonight, I am in a wee bit of pain in my calf muscles and abs, from jogging yesterday! Ah well no pain no gain and all that jazz!
Just seen a pic of Terry Irwin on TV, she has some great muscles must have been working out! Go Tezza!
Now just watching the final of Ladette to lady! Trash TV I know but I like trash lol
So ta taa for now chaps
-          Bee

B’fast: banana smoothie
Lunch: veggie spring roll vermicelli
Dinner: beans on toast with feta cheese.

Day 36 - 13kg to go!

Bee Coz I….had to supervise the mowing of the garden (Billy owed me a mow) I missed bodybalance today, but not to worry I found something else to do instead.
I discovered that Couch to 5k’s (C25K) had an iphone app! C25K’s is a weekly program to teach people to run or jog (just google it if you are interested) I have tried it before and could not get past the first week (could not even do the whole session without cheating)and I really hurt my feet (both have been broken at least once –long stories) anyway, I decided to put my iphone on my stereo and give it a bash in doors the app lets you chose your own music and it tells you when to walk and when to run/jog (5 mins walk, then 8 reps of 60 sec jogging and 45 sec walk recovery the 5min cool down), I know you can’t do it properly in the house, but I modified it, I marched on the spot for the walk and jogged on the spot for the jogging, the sweat was pouring off me by the end of the 32 mins! It was great and all the Zumba paid off because it was easier then my last attempt, I will do it in the house to build up my stamina then I might give it a bash in the street again, you have to have a day break between runs and you only do it 3 times in a week, then go on to the next level. So my plan is to get to week 3 in the house then I might try week one at the gym on the tread mill or out on the bike track! I’ll let you know how I go!
Drank plenty of water today, slightly chilled thanks to our new water cooler. Also got some new scales today that give you 0.1kg increments which will help when my weight loss slows down, my old scales only go in 0.5kg.
Well I’m off for a shower because I stink! Just realized I forgot my Saturday night treat again, maybe I don’t need it for motivation after all!
-Bee

B’fast: diet shake (couldn’t be arsed making anything)
Lunch:  pumpkin and cashew spread on soy and linseed with soup.
Dinner: homemade healthy pita pizzas and a banana.

Day 35 - Getting some rays!

Bee Coz I….woke up just 15 minutes before Zumba starts, I had a very fast start to the day! It was a great class and well worth it.
The reason why I slept in so well and didn’t wake up until 7.45am was because Connie and Kay dropped in late last night, they brought wine, breezers, chips, crackers and dip, I think Connie has fallen of the wagon so to speak. For the record I had a glass of water as I watched the others drinking and eating to their hearts content. It was a moment of victory for me.
Whats in your basket?

Stopped in at the supermarket after Zumba and Bodybalance and got some food in for the weekend. Once again I forgot to check if my lotto ticket won me any money, ah well I will do it next time, I can wait for my millions (I wish) then made very delish healthy pizza’s.
Spent a few minutes sitting in the garden today, only a few minutes as I burn really easily but I just wanted to get some vitamin D. I felt nice just sitting on the back step getting some rays.
I am just having a quiet one tonight as I am very tired, so it’s TV and the couch for me after a yummy dinner of pumpkin and cashew dip on soy linseed toast with a juicy juicy mango to wash it down! The taste of summer!.
Bye Bye – Bee

B’fast: cereal and milk
Lunch: homemade healthy pizzas
Dinner: pumpkin and cashew dip on soy linseed toast with a juicy juicy mango.

Day 34 - Happy birthday to my cousins

Bee Coz I…am shooting off to the gym tonight I thought I would post early today.
Another great day in the office, made greater by the fact I left an hour early this week and popped to the shops on the way home from work, meaning I had time to cook and eat dinner before gym (by 5.30pm – well my parents are English, early dinners are in!) I will have a yoghurt when I get back.
The its off out later.
Mandy, Ian, Ange (in front) and Me
Today is my cousins birthday, my two cousins are sisters and they were born three years apart on the same day, so with my bro and I being twins, my Nana and Grandad only had to remember two birthdays for the four of us – one pair born on bomb fire night, one pair on leap year! I must remember to call Angela tomorrow morning because that will be the night of their birthday in the UK. Mandy my other cousin sadly died three years ago (not sure where that time went seems like yesterday) but it’s still her birthday too, I’d give my right arm just to be able to call her and say happy birthday even if it was for one last time.

Well its time to wipe my eyes and blow my nose and then hit the gym!
See you tomorrow – Bee

B’fast: hommus on soy and linseed.
Lunch: same as b’fast but with 2 sushi hand rolls and a yoghurt.
Dinner: Chilli and garlic prawn salad & I’ll have yoghurt later.

Day 33 - a monkeys in the house

Bee Coz I….have a little monkey in the house tonight I had to miss out on Zumba, but I will be going to the gym tomorrow night as I have swapped my day off exercise from Fri to Thurs this week. I had to be super organized tonight so dinner was quick, brown rice with veggies egg and chicken! It was edible!
I am looking forward to this weekend as I have a few things planned and I think the weather is going to be nice. I also have started to get organized for Xmas, it’s only around the corner, we are going to be having a family holiday in Tasmania staying right on a beach with my parents, brother, sis inlaw and here family, it’s going to be huge! Hope my sis in laws family like karaoke!
Well better go check on the monkey (aka Jorja) and get an early night!

I had a very busy day in work today but a good one never the less!
Really enjoyed Bodybalance tonight.
