Bee Coz I… Like talking to myself I occasionally Blog. I am on a health kick, I'm not perfect and I do best when I stick to my own eating plan, I love to walk and Zumba too (not at the same time) I have never really kept a diary but to help keep on track this will do! I can guarantee it will be boring, full of grammatical errors, spelling mistakes and the odd made up word (if Shakespeare can make up words so can I) so consider yourself warned. -Bee

Living on the edge
She did very well with a few wee stops on the way and a bribe of an icy if she made it!
Lungs are doing well and the results are back from the Doctors - all good on the western front except my vitamin D levels were way down, sugar and cholesterol were awesome A+ for me! My lungs will take a long time to recover but I'll get there :)
I'm going out for a walk soon and I asked Connie to come but she said no because it's dark and her eyes are not what they use to be. I must have been a night owl in a past life because I love walking in the dark!
Off for my walk now - bee
B:porridge
L: pumpkin risotto, on triangle sandwich and a taste of homemade dip and bread (all made at a cooking demo so they were taster size)

A big walk
It was a great walk but the weather closed in and I got drenched, lucky I had my hike boots on and a good jacket.
I saw three wallabies which was nice as I didn't know they lived on the hill that I look at everyday! Plus I saw a scorpion - eek.
It was very spooky on the top of the mountain as the fog was thick.
My body is aching now but it's a good ache! All those hills lol

I'm tough on my runners!
I've been back to the quack with these sill lungs and put on different anti biotics and a new puffer, seems to have helped already.
Having blood tests this morning and getting cholesterol and blood sugars checked at the same time. I'm betting on my Dr failing to get my blood from my arm and going for my hand, I don't know why they don't just start with my hand. Should be amusing anyway.
I didn't do the steps again the otherday as my legs were over worked from my mountain climb, I did the small lake on Sunday and a run yesterday.
I'm off for a walk now before work and the DR's byeeee - bee

Another BIG hill!
It was only an 8km walk but it was slow going as it was very steep so it was slow up and slow down ( very slippery)
Just after I got back, billy said can we go back to the 1000 steps!
Will I or won't I?

Jorja, Max and Tracy came for a visit which was nice, Jorja was besides herself as she had not seen me for 5 days - that girl is good for my ego :)

An awesome long weekend
Day 1:
We went up to a place called Buchan and set up my new awesome tent, it was about a 4.5hr drive from home and we took our time to get there. The first arvo we spent exploring the camp and checking out surroundings.
B:weetabix honey and milk
L:2 slices of raisin toast
D: sprout, broccoli, parma ham and feta omelets, yoghurt and fruit.
Day 2:
After breakfast we visited the Royal Cave, it was beautiful. We then headed off in the 4WD up to the snowy mountains. It was mad, we first came to a place called little river falls, we took a short walk to the falls which were beautiful and then decided to cross the river back up to the car, it was safe but one wrong move and we would have been in the drink. Chris was funny building me bridges to cross the bits that were too big for me to jump across, we had such a laugh and felt like true explorers until we realized we had an audience then I felt like I was about to become a funniest home video star!
Next we traveled along a road (looked like a goat track) and my stomach churned and legs wobbled as we squeezed past other 4wd's next to a sheer drop. The gorge we got to made it worth it, it was the deepest gorge in Victoria ( or Australia?). Then after a quick stop for a bush wee with a view we arrived at a long wooden bridge, I jogged over it, couldn't resist it plus it looked safer than being in the car!
Then after a LONG drive with funny conversations we got back to camp ate and hit the sack.
B: bacon butties and fruit
L: wholemeal butties with feta, ham and salad and fruit
D:yummy salad with chicken and mushroom sausages
Day 3:
Got up and dropped the tent, hit another cave (my fav) and headed back to Melbourne, traffic was hideous so we hit the back tracks and I got to drive - I like driving the 4wd. Stopped off for a quick lunch then jumped back on the fwy until we past my favorite lake, we finished the day with a walk around the lake (to work of the naughty but nice treat we had with lunch and a big breakfast).
B: left over chicken and mushroom sausages, bacon, egg and bread plus fruit.
L: small salad sandwich with 1/3 of an apple cake (Chris ate the other 3/4 for me)
D:chicken and veggies
It was the best weekend away, full of good food, laughs and adventures. Poor Chris had another 8hrs of driving until he got home. I was in bed by 9.45 and slept like a log!

I'm a fun runner
If you ignore the fact that my training was set back with that two week cold and chest infection I got, and the fact that after 1 week (2 1/2 runs) my chest infection got worse, and the fact that I was at the doctors the day before the run and I'm back on antibiotics for two weeks and on all sorts of puffers. I did well!
My only goal was to finish, there was a lot of zigzagging round walkers prams and slower joggers than me ( didn't think they existed) it was a 5.2km run and my GPS showed that I ran 5.5km from all the weaving.
My time was only a bit quicker than I had run 6.3km in the past when well but never mind - I did it, well we did it, me and my mates bronchitis, sinusitis and my one swollen tonsil (both tonsils took part but only one was swollen)
This was the pic of me post race!
Have fun
