Day 276 - Magical snow forests

Bee coz I...spent the day heading down the south coast of Tassie in wild, rainy gloomy weather we had a nice surprise when the rain turned to sleet then a few moments later to snow! I love snow it's one of the things I miss about living on the isle of man. After a quick stop we drove on and it soon vanished.

We drove to a small bay and had lunch, then headed up to the Hartz National Park, you could see clumps of snow about and as we got higher into the mountains it started to snow, it got pretty heavy and we didn't have chains so we spent a few minutes enjoying the snowfalls then turned back down the mountain.

As we got closer to Hobart Dad turned off the main highway to head into the mountains above Hobart and we scooted around the base of Mt Wellington where is was snowing big time but it was a busier road so less risk of getting stranded so we enjoyed the trip through the winter wonderland stopping to take pics, I even jogged up the road to get a better shot, so I have now jogged in rain, hail, shine and snow!

Then we met up with Ian and Alex at the pool and had a play in the water. Can you tell we are a water loving family!

Night all - bee
